2nd Avenue Bridge Replacement

The existing channel slab bridge was structurally and geometrically deficient, qualifying the project to be funded by the Iowa DOT City Bridge Replacement Program. Shoemaker & Haaland conducted a study and developed a replacement structure for the crossing of the South Branch of Ralston Creek. This bridge is 3D modeled and construction documents were generated from this model. The project also included the slope stability of Ralston Creek.
Project Scope: Topographic Survey, Right of Way, Traffic Control & Project Staging, Watermain, Storm Sewer, Retaining Wall, 3D Modeling, and Roadway Geometry Improvements.
