6TH STREET SW RECONSTRUCTION

This roadway rehabilitation project involved the conversion of a rural section primary arterial roadway and former four-lane highway into a widened three-lane roadway with paved shoulders allowing for bicycles. This major arterial corridor includes a mix of industrial and commercial properties.

This roadway rehabilitation project also included extensive utility work. The watermain was ugraded between 33rd Avenue SW and Wilson Avenue and included three pressure zones and staged construction allowing for continuous traffic flow on 6th Street. In addition to open cut watermain installation, bored sections of watermain were also installed to maintain traffic flow.

Project Scope: Topographic Survey, Roadway Rehabilitation, Roadway Design, Trail Design, Retaining Wall Design, Rural Ditch Design, Culvert Design, Water Main Replacement, Public Outreach, and Cost Opinions.
