Phase 5 In Design
This project includes 3.8 miles of trail and bridge design services for the CeMar Trail from 7th Street in Marion to the southwestern city limits near Mount Calvary Cemetery. This portion of the CeMar Trail includes five bridges with a new signature bridge over Marion Boulevard replacing an existing railroad bridge. The project involves wetland delineations and mitigation, threatened and endangered species habitat identification, and floodplain permitting.
Project design and construction requires coordination with contractors and property acquisition. This project is funded by a Federal Surface Transportation Program grant and the City of Marion. The project plans, specifications, and other documents conform with Iowa Department of Transportation requirements and standards.
